Basic Troubleshooting

Common tasks for troubleshooting the cluster.

  • cv-exec -a true

    • Will return any errors or warnings

    • Helpful for troubleshooting across the cluster:

      • Connectivity

      • Communication with cv-clientd

      • ssh errors

  • Run a basic command across the cluster: cv-exec -a --format=consolidate "cat /etc/redhat-release"

  • cv-alerts

    • Display any active alerts.

  • Check the primary ClusterVisor services on the appliance:

    • cv-serverd status

    • ldap status

    • cv-clientd status

    • cv-cloudflare status(if CloudFlare connectivity for remote support enabled)

    • cv-statsd status

    • cv-external-statsd status

  • View ClusterVisor license information:

    • cv-license -l

  • View appliance network settings:

    • networking

  • View ClusterVisor version from the appliance console:

    • version
